Nossa Alma Canta formed in 1998 as a trio (voice, guitar and percussion) and have now become a sextet working with many collaborators. During this time their sound became a mix of acoustic and modern, capturing the perfect balance of classic “bossa nova” and originality.
The result is a light and soulful work, detailed and defined so as every song is like a musical landscape with the intense poetry of the lyrics and the marvellous voice of the singer, “Rosinha”.

Nossa Alma Canta recorded “Estrela”, their second album thanks to the consistent experimenting in the studio and the live concerts helping to develop the new songs. For the past year they have been working on this album in their studio in the heart of Venice.
The objective of the production is to transmit all the passion for this incredible multi ethnic culture into the music. All the musicians come from different musical backgrounds, adding their individual touch combining Mediterranean, African and South American sounds, taking the listener on a ethnic, electronic and jazz musical journey.
